Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the Piecly browser extension ("Extension") or visiting piecly.com ("Website"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

Piecly is a browser extension that analyzes checkout pages you visit and recommends which of your credit cards may earn the highest rewards for that purchase. The Extension processes page data locally in your browser and does not transmit page content to our servers.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use Piecly.

4. Account Registration

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension
• Use the Extension to scrape, harvest, or collect data from websites beyond what is needed for card recommendation
• Distribute modified versions of the Extension
• Use the Extension for any unlawful purpose

6. Intellectual Property

All content, code, designs, and trademarks associated with Piecly are owned by Piecly or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use Piecly's trademarks or branding.

7. Third-Party Services

The Extension integrates with third-party services (Plaid, Supabase). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Piecly is not responsible for third-party service availability or data practices beyond what we control.

8. Card Recommendations — Not Financial Advice

Piecly's recommendations are informational only and do not constitute financial advice. Reward calculations are based on publicly available card terms and may not reflect your specific account terms, spending caps, promotional rates, or recent changes by card issuers. Always verify reward rates with your issuer.

9. Disclaimers

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE EXTENSION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT REWARD CALCULATIONS WILL BE PERFECTLY ACCURATE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PIECLY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE EXTENSION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST REWARDS, INCORRECT RECOMMENDATIONS, OR DATA LOSS.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Piecly, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Extension or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Extension and delete your account at any time.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-extension notification at least 14 days before taking effect.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco County, California.
